2020 Focus on the Fourth: Improving Care for Women in the First Year of Motherhood


Target Audience

This course is designed to educate Physicians, APP's, First Responders, and Nurses who care for women during the first year after delivery in the urgent/emergent care, primary care, and cardiology setting. Topics will include: recognition, intervention, and resources for dangerous health conditions impacting women in the first year after delivery, including hypertension, cardiomyopathy, hemorrhage, postpartum depression, and others.  
Registration and Course Fee

This conference is being offered at no charge to the participants. A light breakfast is included. CME's have been applied for.


Enrollment will close Monday, January 20th, 2020. Remember to print your enrollment confirmation.


On the morning of the event, registration will start at 6:30 am. This conference is scheduled 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM.

UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital reserves the right to alter the schedule, cancel, or postpone this course because of unforeseen circumstances or insufficient enrollment. In the event of a cancellation, full tuition will be refunded.

Continuing Education Credit
CME's have been applied for. Participants who attend the entire session and submit a completed evaluation form will be awarded a certificate for the CME's. 


UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital employees should park in their normal assigned parking. Valet parking will be available at the hospital for all other participants. Attendees must use the Craft Avenue entrance only. Attendees will be greeted by a valet attendant upon arrival and issued a claim stub to retrieve their vehicle.
