Breastfeeding Update for Health Care Providers - POSTPONED

 

UPMC is committed to the health and safety of our patients, visitors, and staff. To decrease potential spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are postponing the Breastfeeding Update for Health Care Professionals until further notice. Refunds have been processed. The credit card companies can take several weeks.

This registration link is for Unlicensed Students Only. 

There are separate registrations for UPMC Employees, Non-UPMC Employees, and Students. Please be careful to enroll in the desired course. 

Target Audience
This one-day course is designed for health care professionals and students involved with the care of mothers and infants.  
 
Registration and Course Fee

The conference includes a continental breakfast and lunch. The link to view or download the two page brochure is located at the bottom of this page (below the enrollment button). The fee for an unlicensed student is $25.00.

Enrollment will close Friday, March 27, 2020, one week before the conference. Remember to print your enrollment confirmation.

Check-in will begin, and a continental breakfast will be served at 7:15 AM. This conference is scheduled from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

 

Parking

All UPMC Magee employees must park in their assigned daylight parking area.

 

Parking is available at the Second Avenue employee parking lot for all students and all UPMC staff who are not UPMC Magee employees. Allow at least 45 minutes for the shuttle ride from Second Avenue to UPMC Magee.

 

Please see the links below for directions to the Second Avenue employee parking lot, and for the shuttle schedule. Look for the “Magee Direct” shuttle, which will let you off at Door 90 at Magee. Follow the signs from Door 90 to the auditorium. 

 

Only Non-UPMC employees may use the visitor parking garage on-site (for a discounted rate).

 

Please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, or public transportation for your convenience and to conserve space for our patients and visitors.

Cancellation Information

If you must cancel, please call 412-641-8096 by March 27. Accurate registration numbers help ensure a smooth event flow. UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital reserves the right to alter the schedule, cancel, or postpone this course because of unforeseen circumstances or insufficient enrollment.

 

Continuing Education Credit
UPMC is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

We have applied for continuing education credits through the ANCC and Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERPs) through the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. Participants who attend the entire session and submit a completed evaluation form will be awarded a certificate for the approved continuing education contact hours and CERP’s.
