Heads Up Pittsburgh 2020 Baseline Testing for Ages 10-14 with UPMC Sports Medicine - Short Version



ImPACT™ Baseline Concussion Testing

These testing sessions are for athletes aged 10 to 14 and utilize the adult version of the ImPACT Test. 

Due to Covid-19 we are implementing the following testing safety requirements:

  • Masks/Cloth Face Coverings are REQUIRED for testing
    • We will NOT provide masks
  • Once you check your child in, parents will NOT be allowed into the testing area. We are trying to reduce the number of people in the testing rooms and maintain appropriate distance. We are utilizing multiple rooms in each facility in order to maintain appropriate distance.
    • If your child requires any assistance, please let us know when you check them in. Our staff will be more than happy to assist your child with their test (reading directions).
  • Gloves and hand sanitizer will be available
  • All surfaces will be cleaned prior to each testing session including, desktops, computers, keyboards, mouse, chairs.
  • Please know that the health and safety of you and your child is extremely important to us. We are taking every measure possible to provide a safe testing environment.


This year we will be testing at the following sites only:

  • UPMC Lemieux Center - Cranberry, PA
  • UPMC Rooney Sports Medicine Center - Pittsburgh, PA
  • UPMC Jameson - Newcastle, PA - July 2 and July 13
  • UPMC Hamot Sterling Square - NEW this YEAR - Erie


IMPORTANT:  DO NOT REGISTER YOURSELF IN PLACE OF YOUR CHILD.  When registering a participant other than yourself for a testing session, be sure to register the correct participant(s) by adding them to your family account.  If you have multiple children to be scheduled for a testing session, you must register EACH child individually for the test.

You will receive an email confirmation once you have registered.  If you DO NOT receive an email confirmation you have not officially registered.

Passport ID

Every participant will be given a 12 digit code upon completion of their baseline test. This is also included in the post-test confirmation email.  The Passport ID allows all medical providers who utilize the ImPACT test to gain access to ones baseline.
