Supporting Grief and Loss in a Physically Distant Culture

Join expert panelists as we discuss strategies and approaches to self-care during these unprecedented times. Participants will learn:

  • How to manage the loss of a loved one while maintaining social distance.
  • Resources and approaches to caring for the ill and celebrating the life of a loved one.

Panelists include:

  • Dr. Heather Mikes, Medical Director for UPMC East and UPMC McKeesport Hospitals Palliative Care Services
  • Roberta Gillespie, Physician Assistant for UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside Palliative Care Services
  • Elizabeth Schandelmeier Gilgunn, Family Hospice Bereavement Counselor
  • John Slater, John F. Slater Funeral Home, Supervisor
  • Lynne Pavlic Marshall, family member of Family Hospice patient
